Our story
Jeff Kerwin founded Nest Home Loans in Hamilton back in 2014. A police officer at the time, his side hustle in property trading and long-term investments was taking off. Working with a good mortgage advisor, he realised this was the career he wanted.
Nest Home Loans has now expanded into a financial coaching platform, helping individuals achieve their financial goals through strategic mortgage advice and financial planning.
The turning point for this was based on Jeff's personal experience. In 2020, despite being mortgage-free, and earning good money, Jeff and his wife looked at their bank accounts with a sinking feeling and asked themselves, 'Where does all our money go?'
Sound familiar?
That wake-up call forced them to get serious about their finances. They built a plan, got on the same page about their goals, and turned everything around. Jeff figured there must be plenty of other hardworking Kiwis in the same boat, and that became the foundation of Jeff’s passion, the Nest Home Loans Pathway Financial Planning Programme.
